Dear Friends in Christ,
This Lenten season, our mid-week services will follow the theme, “Dying to Live: The Foundation, Focus, and Shape of the Christian Life.”
In a world marked by sin and death, Christ calls us to a life that is shaped by His cross and resurrection. Through His victory, we are not only given the promise of eternal life but also a new way of living – a life of faith, shaped by God’s Word and Sacraments, and lived out in Divine Service, prayer, and vocation.
Each week, we will reflect on different aspects of this Christian life. We begin with the reality of "Our Dying World – Our Living Lord" (1 Cor. 15:21-22), where we see that though sin brings death, Christ’s resurrection brings life. This life is won through His obedient death on the cross (Phil. 2:8). In Baptism, we are united with Him in His death and raised to new life, drinking from the Water of Life (1 Pet. 3:21). Nourished by Christ’s Word and Feast of Life (Luke 22:19-20), we are drawn into His presence in the Divine Service and Private Prayer (Isa. 30:30), and we carry that life into the world through our daily vocations (Col. 3:17).
In dying to ourselves, we truly learn to live in Christ. Let us join together in worship as we walk this Lenten journey, dying to sin and rising to life in Him!
Welcome to our congregations' web page. We have been a dual parish together here in Northwestern Minnesota for 85 years. Trinity Lutheran Church is located in Fisher, MN, just 14 miles east of East Grand Forks; and St. Paul Lutheran Church is located in Euclid, MN, another 21 miles northeast of Fisher.
By virtue of God's grace He has made us His "chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession," that we might proclaim the saving work of of Him who called us out of the darkness of sin and death into the marvelous light of His forgiveness of sins, and sure promise of everlasting life for the sake of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior (1 Peter 2:9-10).
If you are passing through, please feel free to visit us to hear the Good News of the forgiveness, life and salvation in Christ alone. If you are looking to settle down in the area, we'd love to have you join us and become a part of our fellowship.
